Legislative Affairs

Entrepreneurs intending to conduct business in Curacao must complete a number of steps before they can become operational:

  • Establish a (limited liability) company and arrange registration in the local Chamber of Commerce & Industry via a notary office
  • Obtain a business license from the Island Executive Council
  • Obtain a director’s license for a non-Antillean managing director
  • Obtain a work and residence permit for the managing director.
